We show breeding heifers, steers, and commercial cattle.

Heifer: A female calf, we show them up to 24 months of age. 

Steer: A castrated male calf

Steers need to be purchased from March-May to be shown the upcoming year (the deadline for the 2023-2024 steer team has passed). 

Heifers can be purchased up until September for the upcoming year. We still have a few spots open for breeding heifers this show year. Contact Ms. Murray if you would like to show: AMurray@GainesvilleISD.org

Commercial cattle are shown in groups of 2-3, contact Mrs. Fowler if you would like to show: MFowler@Gainesvilleisd.org

Heifers and Steers cost roughly $5000-8000 to purchase, but we can try to find a lease heifer. 

Heifers and Steers cost roughly $2000-3000 to feed each year.
